BIFHSGO Special Interest Groups

Writing Group

The Writing Group is for BIFHSGO members who want feedback on the writing of their family history or memoirs.
The Group meets after the regular BIFHSGO Saturday meetings at Library and Archives Canada in the 5th Floor cafeteria. The meeting lasts from about 11:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Members provide extra copies of their writing for the other attendees. Most of us bring a packed lunch to eat before we begin our readings.

Wholly Genes Ottawa TMG Users Group
This is a self-help group for users of The Master Genealogist (TMG), the most advanced genealogy database program available. We have 21 members and an average attendance of 14 at our monthly meetings. The agenda for each meeting includes speakers on pre-announced TMG topics, time to ask your questions, and time for socializing, with refreshments. We also circulate notes on TMG issues and demonstrate TMG at the two local genealogy conferences each year. There are no member fees, and visitors are most welcome.

The Master Genealogist is a product of Wholly Genes.
