Who to Contact About What

Education
Would you like to take a course about genealogy?  Or find out about educational events that BIFHSGO is involved with?  Would you like to suggest a topic for an educational event?  Send an email to education@bifhsgo.ca

Finding ancestors, including home children
Wondering where to look for your British Isles ancestors?  Was your ancestor a Home Child and you want to know more about how they came to Canada?  Send your enquiry to queries@bifhsgo.ca and we'll give you suggestions about where to look in Canadian and UK records. Please provide as much as you now know — names, dates and places.

Research projects
Would you like to help with one of BIFHSGO's existing research projects — transcribing microfilm, for example? Do you have a suggestion for British Isles research that BIFHSGO could support or that BIFHSGO volunteers could carry out?  Send an email to research@bifhsgo.ca

Website feedback
Having trouble navigating BIFHSGO's website? Do you have suggestions for things you'd like to see on the site? Send an email to webmanager@bifhsgo.ca

Volunteer opportunities
Would you like to volunteer to help out?  There are lots of 'jobs' to do — and we could use your help with: coffee at monthly meetings; distributing nametags or Anglo-Celtic Roots; set-up at the annual conference; helping a Board member with his/her duties; or serving on the Board yourself. Send an email to volunteers@bifhsgo.ca

Meeting programs
Would you be willing to give a monthly talk about some aspect of your genealogical research? Would you be interested in telling about a breakthrough you had in your research at one of BIFHSGO's Great Moments session (June or December)?  Do you have a suggestion for a speaker BIFHSGO could bring in to address an educational session or a monthly meeting about some aspect of genealogical research? Send an email to programs@bifhsgo.ca with details.

Annual Fall Conference
The September Conference has been a success due to the many volunteers whose enthusiastic efforts make it look so easy but highly professional. If you would like to contribute your time and skills or perhaps even deliver a presentation, you may contact the Conference Program Chair at conference@bifhsgo.ca. Closer to the conference itself, questions about registration can be directed to the Registrar at conferenceregistrar@bifhsgo.ca.
