Gary Schroder, President of the Quebec Family History Society, presented his talk, "The Black Swan: Little-used Sources for Family History in England", during the March 2006 monthly meeting. In a well prepared and informative presentation Gary covered, in part, such sources as: death duty registers, parish registers, apprenticeship and indentures, settlement papers, Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, National Portrait Gallery, UK National Archives, consulate records, local record offices, marriage licenses, letters of administration and oral tradition.
