The May meeting presenters. John Sayers gave a talk on the British Immigration and Colonization Association (BICA) of Canada covering its founding, function and eventual demise. Patricia Roberts-Pichette (left) and Caroline Herbert (right) talked about the Middlemore Home children. Middlemore encouraged children to write home at least four times a year. The contents of those letters formed the basis for the talk with Patricia setting the context in which the letters were written and Caroline reading the contents of these letters. A novel approach which made for an interesting presentation.
