Tony Atherton was the main speaker at the November monthly meeting. His presentation was entitled Ghosts of the Great War.

At this time last year well known Ottawa Citizen journalist, Tony Atherton, led a project on the First World War with students at St. Mark's School in Manotick. Did the war have any relevance for these teenagers or was it mostly lost in the mists of time, another subject to be studied?

Using the research about four of the students' relatives, Tony described the project and how they tried to bring to life the contributions of those who served. He shared his reflections on the project with the audience.
