He served in Queen Victoria's stables, 1858-1898, and, for the last 9 of those years, was State Coachman, driving the state carriage in both the Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee processions in London.

Moses Meyer Goudsmit (Morris Goldsmith) 1847-1930

Moses was an Ashkenazi Dutch Jewish diamond cutter, who emigrated in 1867 with his extended family from the slums of Amsterdam to the Dutch Jewish 'ghetto' in Whitechapel, London. He worked his way out of the slums as a cigar maker, eventually becoming a cigar manufacturer and retiring to enjoy the salty sea breezes of Brighton, Sussex. [Christine Jackson's great-grandfather]
