| All available census records for the Township of Nepean |
| have been indexed and are available in the reference department |
| of the Centrepointe Branch, OPL. |
| These records include the following censuses: |
| 1842, 1852, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 |
| and a rare local census of rural Nepean from 1938. |
| The majority of these records were transcribed by |
| local historian and BIFHSGO member Bruce S. Elliott |

| "Might's Greater Ottawa City directories from 1861 to present" |
| Many of these have sections on local communities outside of Ottawa (ie, Nepean). |
| Note: they sometimes only contain the head of the household, but worth checking. |
