Membership Essentials
BIFHSGO offers a range of activities open to the public:
- Ten monthly meetings with featured speakers
- Occasional educational sessions/workshops
- A monthly newsletter
- An annual conference with presenters from around the world
- Access to all BIFHSGO’s online research indexes—notably for home children
- Ability to search the database of surnames being researched by our members and connect with members researching the same names (being redeveloped)
- Access to archived copies of the society journal, Anglo-Celtic Roots, one year after publication
- Opportunities to meet friendly people who share common interests and want to help others learn to research and share family history
In addition, there are benefits available exclusively to members:
- Ability to receive and contribute to quarterly issues of the society's journal, Anglo-Celtic Roots
- Access to journals of selected international genealogy societies
- Access to a Members Only section, with handouts and videos of presentations delivered at recent meetings and conferences and an archive of past sessions
- Ability to post names of interest in a surname database (being redeveloped)
- Access to online social gatherings every two weeks
- Membership in the BIFHSGO Facebook Discussion Group, exchanging ideas and posting questions

There are several annual membership plans and fees:
- Individual membership with a digital copy of ACR - $50
- Individual membership with a paper copy of ACR - $60
- Family membership (for renewing family members only) - $75 with a digital copy of ACR
- Family membership (for renewing family members only) - $85 with a paper copy of ACR
